How to Fix WordPress Maintenance Mode Error

Sometimes, every once in a blue moon, when your WordPress site goes into Maintenance Mode, it may not come out of it as it should. I’ll show you in this video what to do if that happens and how to easily clear it.

When WordPress automatically updates itself, it goes in to a maintenance mode so no one can use the site while behind-the-scenes changes are being made to it. Also, if you have a plugin, which we recommend having, that automatically updates your other WordPress plugins, it may go into Maintenance Mode then as well. It usually stays in Maintenance Mode for ten seconds or so. It’s normally very quick.

But every now and then, it gets stuck and when you visit your site you see a large “Maintenance Mode” message. You can try waiting a few seconds and re-loading and if that doesn’t work, wait about 30 more seconds and try again. If that doesn’t work, then you’re going to want to try the method I have outlined in this video.

But, don’t worry. This error can not only be cleared, but it can be cleared very easily.
